WS4GL is now installed, you have an account with a service provider like Bambuser, UStream or BlogTV and you're ready to broadcast over the Internet... Here's some cooll stuff that you can do using WS4GL: - If you have more than one webcam, why not show all of then in your broadcast. One can be the main, the others can be used to show the details of what you are doing.
- When doing a screencast, add two Desktop sources. One that will show a large part of your desktop and the another one capturing at 160x120, following your mouse so viewers can see the small details
- Use images to set a background behind the IRC source, or simply behind your webcam
- When doing a screencast, show your webcam above in a small size and at 50% opacity
- Why not use the Activity detector (Advanced Options) on a Desktop source to only show the screencast when your mouse is moving?
- To show a source only when you want it to, use the "Hide when iconified" option
- Using 2 webcams, put one in blue, and the other one in red, and broadcast in 3D
- Show an IRC source connected to your IRC server. So when people will view the recording, they will also see what viewers were chatting you about
- Text can be scrolled up, down, left and right
- In the advanced options, you can apply a shape on your source. It makes your webcam or any other source look more amazing!
- Create your own custom shape: Simply create a black and white PNG file. Everthing in white will be removed
- Using multiple webcams, you can make use of the Activity Detection (Advanced Options) to only show one webcam at a time where there is activity. It's like having your own movie director!
- To record locally, use the Video Recorder (0.51+) or simply use VLC or wxcam!
- Use SinglePaint (in the output menu) to highlight something in your broadcast
- Use Animations to put life in your broadcast. And why not create your own! (See Animations page)
- Show news from any website using the RSS source
- Use the "Load Last Studio" in the Studio menu to reload your setup. Of course, you have to save it first in a Studio file for layer use
- Use the Night Vision effect to view in the dark, using your webcam
- In Image source, you can select multiple images, and create a quick slide show in one source
- Start the Broadcaster (on port 4888), and ask your friend, using WS4GL, to add you as a co-host by adding a Movie Stream Source using the URL tcp://[yourip]:4888. Make sure that your router is properly configured
- Use multiple WS4GL on several computers and activate the Broadcaster on each of them. Them you will be able to show those computer broadcast as a Movie Stream. Neat for Screencasting on another computer.
- Monitor your Broadcaster stream using your iPhone! Install the "Streamer" application from the App Store, and view your Broadcaster where ever you go...
